About the event

Kicking off the South Star School Matariki Celebration is the fantastic Jackie - who after working in the corporate world gave it all away to plunge into self-employment in the arts and crafts industry.
Guided by the Jackie's experience and fun-loving style, you’ll learn techniques for assembling geometric patterns and laying glass tiles, choosing from a variety of templates or letting your imagination flow to design your masterpiece.
No two lamps are ever alike, making each creation as unique as the person crafting it!
We make the process easy and fun, so you can unleash your creativity. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or a complete beginner, this workshop offers something for everyone.
This is a 2.5hr workshop, with all materials brought - including your selected 'blank lamp template, materials, and patterns - by our wonderful facilitator!
Once we have payment and lamp selection, we will send a confirmation as proof of purchase, then a reminder email a day before the event.
Previous Attendees had this to say about the Turkish Mosaic Workshop:
"Absolutely addictive activity. We loved our first class with Jackie so much we booked in for a second before the first class was finished. The class makes a fabulous gift as my Mum thoroughly enjoyed her class. We're currently planning a third." - Ingrid
"A friend and I stumbled across the Turkish lamp workshop and decided to give it a shot! Nervous but excited we went and we had a blast, so much that we went a second time a few weeks afterwards! The two ladies were so welcoming and everyone had plenty of laughs. In the end you get to walk away with a beautiful lamp to shine bright in your home, Looking forward to doing more workshops in the future!!" - Sheyanne
