Our Why

The building we call home first opened its doors in 1882 as a place of community learning.

We want to continue that that legacy.

The South Star School Charitable Trust is restoring and caring for this heritage-listed landmark so it can remain a living, warm, and vibrant gathering place for generations to come. The restoration is a community-led effort — a reflection of the belief that it takes a village to create culture, belonging and shared future.
